As an individual who has been a devout and a loyal believer in Catholicism for pretty much my whole life, it's really only natural that all of my family and friends for the most part share in my beliefs. This is comforting on many levels, and helps reinforce my faith all the more. What's more than that, because they value the same holidays and special occasions that I do, and we share the same reason is affiliations, I think it's reasonable to believe that they'll appreciate receiving Catholic gifts to mark special occasions.
It's getting increasingly more difficult for me to find retail stores in my area that have Catholic gifts and their inventory, but because of the World Wide Web high have found that this is not an issue at all. These days, there are dozens and dozens of websites that carry nothing but high-quality Catholic gifts, which makes choosing gifts for special occasions such as baptisms, first communions, confirmations, Christmas, and birthdays a walk in the park. Whenever it comes time for me to pick up a gift for one of the special events I can just jump on the Internet and find a wide variety of affordable Catholic gifts to choose from.
Are you curious as to what types of Catholic gifts you can get on the Internet? I think the answer to that is pretty much anything you can get in a traditional retail store and a whole lot more. For example, there are many websites that offer reading materials such as inspirational books, faith-based living guides, Bibles, and more. The really great thing is that the inventories allow you to choose Catholic gifts that are age specific, so I am always sure to find a really nice gift for the individual that I'm shopping for.
Jewelry is another category of Catholic gifts that is always popular and always appreciated. There again is a huge inventory of goods to choose from, ranging from the very basic to the very intricate. Necklaces in the form of gold or silver crosses, crucifixes, and medals are appropriate for both men and women, and are probably some of the most universally beloved Catholic gifts that you can give. Other jewelry products that make for fantastic Catholic gifts include chastity rings, prayer bracelets, and rosaries. And the really great thing about these pieces is that they can be inscribed to really make them personal and special.
There are also wonderful Catholic gifts that would be great in the home. I'm talking about items such as wall hangings, framed prints, statues, figurines, plaques, and even holy water fonts. You can pick out an order as many of these as you like and have them conveniently shipped straight to your front door. That sure beats having to drive all over town while dealing with traffic, the weather, not to mention trying to find a decent parking place.
So bear in mind that when you are looking for Catholic gifts, take your search to the Internet and you can't go wrong. I think you will be surprised at the sheer volume of great and affordable products that you can order from the comfort of your own home.

Why the Christian Should Control Thoughts
God made us in His image and after His likeness (Gen 1.26).
Though man fell, Jesus Christ brought the Christian back to the godly status. We Christians are gods! (John 10.34-35).
As gods, it is important that we control our thinking. Gods always have what they think so they ought to think right.
Thoughts are real, and in the spirit realm they have shape. You must not take your thoughts for granted. After all, that something is not material is no proof that it is unreal.
Do you know that the thought that stays long enough in your mind will attract its material equivalent into your life? Yes it will!
Nobody ever gets a quality of life that is better than the quality of his or her thought. In fact, your life is the exact reflection of your thinking.
?As in water face answers to face, so the heart of man answers to man?. (Proverbs 27:19)
This is the reason why the Christian has to think rightly.
This is the reason why the Christian is urged in the Bible to keep the heart with diligence.
?Keep your heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life.? (Proverbs 4:23)
Think like the god that you are.
You aren't a defeatist; you are more than a conqueror (Romans 8.37).
Carefully guard your heart against defeat, failure, sickness and lack.
Though Jesus Christ was God, he was also 100% man yet at critical times he did not worry. He didn't take thoughts of defeat and failure into His mind - it is unbecoming of a god.
On every occasion when there was a trouble, He was calm and unfazed. He fixed problems with his words.
Everyone speaks out what was already taken to thought. Therefore, Jesus Christ spoke out words which he had preconceived in his mind.
The words of Jesus were nobly conceived in the thought realm before he spoke them out.
He didn't have thoughts of defeat and helplessness; so his words couldn't be different.
When your thoughts are right, your words will get right too.
I urge you to take after him.
As Christians, we can all have a quality life.
We can all experience positive changes.
Remember that God has already blessed us with all things (2 Peter 1.3) the Christian needs nothing but the right thinking.
One easy way to think right is by studying the Bible regularly (Joshua 1.8). The Bible contains the mind and word of God. Meditating on it will make you think in same way as God.

How Can Transform Yourself and Your Nation
A friend and I conversed recently over an issue of national transformation. He asked my suggestion as regards what major factor could quicken transformation in some African nations.
I quickly said, ?The Word of God?. (I am talking about the Christian God).
He retorted, ?But Japan hasn't got much of God's Word, yet they have a developed economy and a transformed nation.?
I convinced my friend by insisting that the Word of God is the seed that transforms individuals and nations.
You too may ask, ?What about Japan??
Well, every modern civilization and culture begins from the Word of God.
Think about this?
The British got light from the Word of God and this light was brought into their social life, resulting in their social and cultural transformation.
The British then went ahead to introduce their culture to America. Japan in turn, learnt a new way of doing things from America.
From what I have just said, you can see that Japan's transformation has its beginning from America, while America's transformation came from God's Word.
Britain, USA, Japan, etc. experienced years of despotic leadership, coup d'etat and civil unrest like any other young nation, but God's Word eventually transformed them.
Before we go into the next section of this article, I would want you to think deeply about this statement by Apostle Paul in Romans 12:2. He said:
?Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God's will is ? his good, pleasing and perfect will.?
How Will The Word of God Transform You?
Let me explain it this way:
Every human being behaves the way s/he does because the mental picture which a person carries in the mind causes him/her to exhibit behavior which AGREES with that image.
No person ever acts better than the image or picture that he has of himself. Your behavior agrees with your self-image.
The image you have of yourself determines how you esteem yourself.
An excellent self-image produces high-self esteem, but poor self-image produces low self-esteem.
?Poor self-image produces low self-esteem and low self- esteem is the cause of anti-social behavior.?
Now, let's consider this question?
Can a Christian Have Low Self-Esteem?
In my opinion, I don't believe a Christian can have low self-esteem if s/he truly believes in the Lord Jesus Christ and the wonderful significance of His death and resurrection.
Throughout the Bible, the identity of a Christian does not suggest a low esteem. It has always revealed a glorious identity of Kingship as can be seen in the following examples from the Bible.
A) 1 Peter 2:9
?But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people belonging to God, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light.?
B) Revelations 5:10
?You have made them to be a kingdom and priests to serve our God, and they will reign on the earth.?
Therefore, I think it is unbelief that can make a child of God to think of him/herself as ?good-for-nothing? or ?ordinary.?
You Were Not Lowly Rated At Creation
How do I know?
One of my cousins has a shoe making factory. As I watched him work, I discovered that he carefully produced every shoe, but he was exceptionally careful as he produced some special ones.
Those special ones he made were rated higher and sold at higher prices than the rest.
You are worth much more than shoes. When God created you, He employed so much care.
Consider the Amplified Bible Version of these words of King David recorded in Psalm 139.14, 15
?I will confess and praise You for You are fearful and wonderful and for the awful wonder of my birth! Wonderful are Your Works, and that my inner self knows right well.
My frame was not hidden from you when I was formed in secret [and] intricately and curiously wrought [as if embroidered with various colors] in the depth of the earth [a reign of darkness and mystery].?
Note the adverbs used to describe how God created you and consider their synonyms below.
INTRICATELY: complicated; puzzling; difficult to understand.
CURIOUSLY: strange; unusual; showing the result of care and attention.
The last clause in verse 15 suggests that you were made in the secret factory of God ? in the depths of the earth, a region of darkness and mystery.
If you were formed in a region of darkness and mystery, then no one else, including Satan, has an idea of the complexity of how God has made you.
It therefore makes sense to say that as children of God, we shouldn't give in to the damaging remarks people have made on us, one time or the other. We should also not give in to the thoughts dropped on our minds by the devil.
Both the damaging remarks by people and the thoughts brought on mind by the devil are totally untrue.
The Word of God calls us in 2 Corinthians 10:5 to demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and to take captive every thought and make it obedient to Christ.
Christ Himself is the Word of God (John 1:1). He is the Word we should believe and not the lies of the devil or the damaging statements people make about us. The devil is a liar and the master of all lies. Christ Jesus says this concerning Him:
??He was a murderer from the beginning, not holding to the truth, for there is no truth in him. When he lies, he speaks his native language, for he is a liar and the father of lies.? John 8:44.
Finally, child of God, it is my earnest prayer that the Word of God continues to work in your life, and that you become a happier, transformed, and more productive person.
God bless you!
